Navajo Button Hair Tie, c. 1940

$136.00

Description

a repousse bursts from the center of this button where a small green turquoise cabochon is set, and stamping borders the edge.  It could be a hair tie or tied to a bag.  Navajo women wore them on their blouses, men on their bandolier bags.  Where would you wear it?
