Description

Frank Vacit (1915-1999) was a pioneering Zuni artist who worked roughly from the 1930s through the 1950s.  He is credited with the channel inlay technique.

This belt is a fantastic example of Vacit’s work, with repeating inlaid kachina case masks in shell, jet, turquoise and red coral.  Vacit’s fleur de lis stamp is clear on the back of the buckle.

35.5″ in length, buckle is 1.75″ x 2.5″
